Here are four new guitars from Fender which we saw at the recent NAMM show and are now in stock:

1. The Blacktop Tele Baritone is a baritone guitar with a 27" scale, about the same size as a regular tele, tuned B to B. It has two tele and one humbucking pickup.

2. The Blacktop Jaguar P-90 is a candy apple red jaguar that features P-90 style pickups.

3. The Blacktop Strat HSH is a regular strat except that it has humbucking pickups in the bridge and neck position.

They're all here, come in and try them out.

Here's the latest version of the 2011 Telebration guitars, the Lamboo Telecaster.

Cabronita and '62 Telecaster

November 13, 2011

The Fender Custom Shop's popular La Cabronita Especial Telecaster models now join the family in the form of the Cabronita Telecaster - a Telecaster with "a lot more attitude" - which boasts a slab body and TV Jones Filter'Tron pickups.

After the Telecaster blazed a new trail through the 1950s, a new version featuring a bound body-the Telecaster Custom-was introduced in the early 1960s. Our '62 Telecaster pays striking homage to that guitar, with an Olympic White lacquer finish, black binding and white pearloid block inlays on a rosewood fretboard.

Electro Harmonix Ravish Pedal

October 4, 2011

This just in: the new Electro Harmonix Ravish pedal, which turns your guitar into a sitar. Very few instruments offer as much harmonic and dynamic flexibility as a sitar.

Electro-Harmonix has streamlined the essence of the sitar into a compact enclosure that offers a polyphonic lead voice and tunable sympathetic string drones that dynamically react to your playing.

Create your own custom scales for the sympathetic strings while you set the decay time for the lead voice. Two expression pedal inputs allow you to bend the pitch of the lead voice and control the volume of the sympathetic strings simultaneously.

These unique controls offer the player the ability to program the Ravish to become a totally unique and organic instrument unto itself. The Ravish is a truly new design with the flexibility to be a crossover tonal wonder.

Yamaha DTX500 and DTX520

August 31, 2011

We have just received the new Yamaha DTX500 and DTX520 electronic drum sets, which replace the old DT Explorer set we have had for some time (we still have one of the Explorer sets at a discounted price.)

The new sets have a nicely upgraded drum module which features 427 drum, percussion and effects sounds, along with fifty preset drum kits and twenty user-editable kits. The DTX module also has recording and practice features and MIDI out. The DTX500 has the same pads and frame as the DT Explorer kit; the new DTX520 has an upgraded frame and a much nicer snare drum and cymbal pads.

The XP80 is a three-zone snare pad that is very responsive and feels great to play. The cymbal pads also have three zones.

Yamaha Acoustic Guitars

Yamaha has just released the new "AC" series of acoustic guitars. We have two of them in stock; both are a grand concert size, all solid woods, with a cutaway and a very nice electronics system. The AC1M features mahogany sides and back, the AC3R has rosewood sides and back.

Fender's 2011 Telebration

For the third installment of Fender's 2011 Telebration, we just received the Modern Thinline Telecaster, Olympic White.

Similar to the '90s Tele Thinline, this is a semi-hollow thinline with modern hardware and appointments, including a beautiful tortoise shell binding.
